JUNE 9, 1994 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE
BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 116, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
1. Hear presentation by representative from Texas County and District
Retirement System and discuss future options for Brazos County.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
WORKSHOP SESSION
JUNE 9, 1994

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in
a workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 1994, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant
Carol Palmer Admin. Asst. to County Judge
John Reynolds Auditor
Dianne Lawson Treasurer's Office
Joseph Cannon Froh TCDRS
Trueman O'Quinn TCDRS
The County Judge opened the workshop session and turned
it over to Mr. Joe Froh, representative of the Texas County
and District Retirement System.
Mr. Froh opened his presentation with a statement that
currently the county match for each employee is 3.2%.
Using charts, Mr. Froh explained how the Retirement
System is funded and how the individual employee accounts are
maintained. He also explained that a reserve account is
established for each employee based on age and years of
service. Mr. Froh outlined the various funding options
available to the Court for future years.
The County Judge thanked Mr. Froh for the information and
declared the session closed.
