IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Invocation. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Consider and take action on the approval of the minutes of the meetings held on June 1, 1993, June 7, 1993, June 14, 1993, and June 28, 1993. 4. Consider and take action on the selection of architect and /or engineer for Brazos County jail expansion and new Juvenile Detention Center. 5. Consider and take action on the appointment of Eugene Oates and the reappointment of Sue Moody and Anderson Jones to the Brazos County Fire Prevention District #4 Fire Commissioners Board. 6. Consider and take action on Easement Grant for Zweifel Road improvement. 7. Consider and take action on the award of the following bids for the Road and Bridge Department and authorize the payment thereof: a. Mid Mount, Articulated Boom 20' -4" and (1) Utility Tractor w/ Boom Mower Bid No. 94 -722 b. Rebid - 6 -8 Cubic Yard Dump Trucks Bid No. 94 -730 c. Rebid - Annual Bridge Pilings Contract Bid No. 94 -731 8. Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 9. Consider and take action on payment of claims. 10. Adjourn. I% \ COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING • NOVEMBER 15, 1993 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 1993, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held June 1, 1993, June 7, 1993, June 14, 1993 and June 28, 1993. Commissioner Turner moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Commissioner Wilcox seconded the motion. Commissioners Norton, Turner and Wilcox voted to approve all the minutes, Commissioner Sims abstained from voting on the minutes of June 6 and June 14 because he • was not present at those meetings. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commis- sioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to send out requests for proposals to architects and engineers for the Brazos County jail expansion and the new juvenile detention center. All proposals must comply with the jail standards. The term of service will be for two (2) years beginning January 1994 and ending December 1995. The next matter for consideration by the Court was an easement grant conveyed to Brazos County from James D. Ingram III, Trustee, for the purpose of expanding and improving Zweifel Road. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to accept the easement grant from James D. Ingram III, Trustee and authorized the County Judge to sign the acceptance. Commissioner Norton moved to accept the recommen- dations of the Purchasing Agent. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Sims. Commissioners Norton, Sims and Wilcox voted "Aye ". Commissioner Turner voted "No ". On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commis- sioner Norton the Court voted unanimously to accept the recommendations of the Purchasing Agent and award the contract to Conroe Creosote. A copy of the bid tabulation is attached hereto. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees.
