The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a

The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed speed limit on Koppe Bridge Road.
Commissioner Norton stated in his opening remarks that
proper notice of the hearing had been given according to law.
He outlined the procedures for the hearing and asked those in
attendance for any comments on the subject and asked that they
state their names and organization.
Hugh Lindsey - stated that he was speaking on
behalf of his neighbors and asked that the speed
limit be set at 30 mph because law enforcement
generally allows an additional 10 mph before
issuing a citation. He said that there are a lot
of bikers and joggers who use the road but there
are no shoulders on the road to protect them.
Bill Thornal - stated that allowing and additional
10 mph over the speed limit depends on traffic.
Gary Norton - explained that 85% of average speed
is what is generally set at speed limit.
There being no further commentary, Commissioner Norton
declared the Public Hearing closed.
