'Adjourn. 1 , k r 1 1 + t`Ff[ y r 3 • C~ 1 1 + COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 16, 1993 • M x i~ A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 1993, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant Carol Palmer Admin. Asst. to County Judge Rhonda Seaton Auditor's Office Sandie Walker Treasurer Ray Crow Road & Bridge Bobby Riggs Sheriff Rita J. Watkins Sheriff's Office Frank Palermo Road & Bridge Jennifer Gordy KBTX-TV Mike Terry KBTX-TV Bill Kling Kling Engineering Barry Burdett Citizen Don Garrett Garrett Engineering Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #92/93-23, which would reallocate funds budgeted for the Sheriff's Department. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to call public hearings to consider load zoning on the following county roads: Barron Road - Precinct 1, Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. Oak Hollow Subdivision Roads - Precinct 3, Tuesday, August 31, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. 'i f Commissioners Court meeting August 16, 1993 Hollow Heights Subdivision Roads - Precinct 3, Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at 10:00 a.m. The Court next considered the request from Wellborn Water Supply Corporation to place a road bore in the right-of-way of South Oaks Drive near its intersection with Arrington Road in order to install a water line. The site is located in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Wellborn Water Supply Corporation and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is attached hereto. The next matter for consideration was the Replat of Lot 17, Block 7, Rainbow Acres, Second Installment in Precinct 3. Commissioner Sims noted that the adjoining property owners had been notified via certified mail of the re-subdivision of Lot 17. He further noted that the letter to the property owners F indicated that the Commissioners Court would address the replat at the meeting on August 2, 1993 and in so much as the matter was not on the agenda for that meeting anyone wishing t E to be heard on the matter did not have the opportunity to do I so, and recommended consideration be given as a preliminary 4 t plat. Commissioner Sims moved that the Replat of Lot 17, Block 7, Rainbow Acres, Second Installment be approved as r submitted as a Preliminary Plat and that the matter be placed on the agenda for the Commissioners Court meeting of August 23, 1993 for further consideration. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Norton and carried unanimously. The next matter for consideration was the Replat of Rainbow Acres Subdivision/Second Installment, and a variance from having to acquire signatures from land owners in Precinct 3. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the preliminary plat and the variance and to hold it until the meeting of August 23, 1993 to approve the final plat. r s. i .J s s r7; 397 Commissioners Court meeting August 16, 1993 The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees.
