THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON MONDAY,
JULY 19, 1993, AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,

3. Consider and take action on the approval of the minutes of
the meetings held on March 1, 1993, March 8, 1993, March 15,
1993, March 22, 1993, March 29, 1993, and March 30, 1993.
4. Consider and take action on exemption from competitive bidd-
ing requirements of Local Government Code, Section 262.024
(a)(7)(D) for Modular Government Information System includ-
ing hardware and patented software from Intergraph Corpora-
tion for the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
5. Consider and take action on request from Brushy Water Supply
Corporation to install water line in county right-of-way of
River Road in Precinct 1.
6. Consider and take action on request from GTE Southwest, Inc.
to install communication line in county right-of-way of
Wilson Pasture Road in Precinct 2.
7. Reconsider and take action on Final Plat of Wildewood Estates
in Precinct 3.
8. Consider and take action on personnel change of status.
9. Consider and take action on payment of claims.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 19, 1993
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00
a.m. on Monday, July 19, 1993, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge
of allegiance.
The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the
Commissioners Court meetings held March 1, 1993, March 8,
1993, March 15, 1993, March 22, 1993, March 29, 1993 and
March 30, 1992. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by
Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to approve
the minutes as submitted.
The Court next considered an Exemption from Competitive
Bidding Requirements of Local Government Code, Section
262.024(a)(7)(D). This is for the purchase of Modular
Government Information System including hardware and patented
software from Intergraph Corporation. The Commissioners'
Court determined that this was a single source-supplier. On
motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox,
the Court voted unanimously to approve the Exemption of

Competitive Bidding Requirements and authorized the payment
for said cost not to exceed the amount of $80,000.00.
The Court next considered the request from Brushy Water
Supply Corporation to place a road bore in the right-of-way of
River Road approximately 0.3 of a mile from its intersection
with Lightsey Road for the purpose of installing a water line.
The site is located in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner
Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted
unanimously to approve the request of Brushy Water Supply
Corporation and authorized the installation. A copy of the
request is attached hereto.
The Court next considered the request from GTE Southwest,
Inc. to place a buried cable in the south right-of-way of
Wilson Pasture Road beginning 0.6 of a mile northeast of its
intersection with FM 974 for a distance of 96.0 feet in a
southwesterly direction. The site is located in Precinct 2.
On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner
Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of
GTE Southwest and authorized the installation. A copy of the
request is attached hereto.
The Court next considered approval of the final plat of
Wildewood Estates Subdivision. On motion by commissioner
Sims, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted
unanimously to approve the plat as submitted with the
stipulation that a letter be forth coming from the land owner
stating that the public utility easement is not just a water
easement but for all utilities.

submitted with the exception of John Lyon who will be paid at
a step 2 rate rather than a step 3.

for compatible equipment to integrate and interface with existing equipment the City of
Bryan and the City of College Station currently own, as provided in the Local Government
Code, Section 262.024(a)(7)(D). The Court hereby approves payment for said costs in an
amount not to exceed S 80.000.00.

TO THE COMMISSIONER'S COURT OF BRAZOS COUNTY

ATTENTION COUNTY JUDGE:
Formal notice is hereby given that GTE will construct a
communication line within the right-of-way of a County Road
in Brazos County, Kurten, Texas as follows:
`
Beginning .6 of a mile Northeast of the intersection
•
of FM 974 and Wilson Pasture Road, we propose to place
a buried line along, parallel to and 5' inside of the
South ROW of Wilson Pasture Road a distance of 96'
in a Southwesterly direction.
The location and description of this line and associated
appurtenances is more fully shown by four copies of drawings
attached to this notice. The line will be constructed and
maintained on the County Road right-of-way in accordance with
governing laws.
Notwithstanding any other provision contained herein, it is
expressly understood that tender of this notice by GTE does
not constitute a waiver, surrender, abandonment or impairment
of any property rights, franchise, easement, license, authority,
permission, privilege or right now granted by law or may be
granted in the future and any provision or provisions so con-
strued shall be null and void.
Construction of this line will begin on or after August 1993.
