VOL PAG E �- • .1 ,r iI 01 s COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING MAY 3, 1993 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 1993, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The first item on the agenda was to canvas the results of the Special Senatorial Election held May 1, 1993 to vote on United States Senator, unexpired term and three (3) constitutional amendments. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held December 7, 1992, December 14, 1992 9:00 a.m., December 14, 1993 9:30 a.m., December 21, 1993 and December 28, 1993. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #92/93 -15, which would transfer funds budgeted for the Non Departmental Department to office of Constable Precinct 4, Sheriff's Office, Maximum Security Jail and the Minimum Security Jail. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner s Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. U. 61 Commissioners Court meeting May 3, 1993 The Court next considered awarding the following bid: Bid No. 93 -685 - Cellular Phone Purchases, Lease and Service Cheryl Turney, Purchasing Agent, recommended acceptance of the bid submitted by Cellular One. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and award the contract to Cellular One with the stipulation the County will give Cellular One a three (3) month grace period to evaluate service and if not satisfied will award the contract to another bidder. A copy of the bid tabulation is attached hereto. The Court next considered three requests from Wellborn Water Supply Corporation. The first, to place a water line in the right -of -way of Graham Road. The second request, to place a water line in the right -of -way of Live oak Street. The third request, to place a road bore in the right -of -way of Greens Prairie Road approximately 150.0 feet from its inter- section with FM 2154. The sites are located in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the requests of Wellborn Water Supply Corporation and authorized the installations. A copy of each request is attached hereto. The Court next considered the request by Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System to place a road bore in the right -of -way of Batts Ferry Road 0.7 mile south of its intersection with Koppe Bridge Road for the purpose of installing an 8.0 inch steel pipe line for a distance of 1618.3 feet. Included with the request is company check $3666 in the amount of $4,423.20. The site is located in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is attached hereto. The Court next considered the request Harvey SWD Limited to place a road bore in the right -of -way of Golden Trail Road in the Rainbow Acres Subdivision approximately 710.0 feet from Iv I� c, , F r, t. r` t s r Commissioners Court meeting May 3, 1993 its intersection with Gold Nugget road to install a 3 inch salt water disposal line. Included with the request is company check #145 in the amount of 500.00. The site is in Precinct 3. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Harvey SWD Limited and authorized the installation.
