MINUTES SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WORKSHOP SESSION 1. Call to Order A workshop session of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners Courtroom in the Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2025 with the following members of the Court present: Kyle Kacal, Acting County Judge, Presiding; Bentley Nettles, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Chuck Konderla, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Fred Brown, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Wanda J. Watson, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that we 2. agenda sign-in sig page 3. Presentation and discussion of Texas Association of Counties' (TAC) Services. Judge Kacal recognized Human Resources Director Jennifer Salazar. Ms. Salazar shared with the Court that this workshop would be an overview of the services provided by Texas Association of Counties (TAC). Ms. Salazar then turned the floor over to the TAC Representatives. TAC Risk Management Consultant Lisa McCaig, shared with the Court a brief history of TAC and information on the Board of Directors. TAC Employee Benefits consultant Clarissa Messinger, addressed the Court sharing information on TAC Legislative Support, Education and Training, Technology tools and Resources, Public Relations, Legal Resources. Lisa McCaig & the Risk Control Consultant for Brazos County, Isaac Garcia, addressed the Court with information on Risk Management Pool, Health and Employee Benefits Pool and Unemployment Fund Pool. Ms. Messinger then shared specific information on Employee Benefits and the benefits of a wellness consultant. More information can can be found on their Website and Social Media platforms. TAC Associate Director Brian Naiser wrapped up the prevention and thanked the Court. Commissioner Brown asked for clarifications on revenue. Clarification was provided by Mr. Naiser. Commissioner Watson thanked them for their presentation and service to the counties across the State. Commissioner Brown asked that they become more involved in lobbying for the interest of counties. A Copy of the presentation is attached. 4. Adjourn Judge Kacal thanked TAC for their service and for coming to share with the Court.
