Presentation and discussion concerning -a proposed Solid Waste Ordinance. Eric Magee, Attorney of Allison, Bass & Magee, LLP discussed the status Brazos County's endeavor to designate property as a landfill site location. Mr. Magee addressed the standard concern that by designating the landfill site location, doesn't necessarily mean that the specified property will ever be used as a landfill. The Commissioners Court entered into discussion regarding the statutory regulations and other relevant factors when determining an appropriate site location. Mr. Magee explained the next step of the process would be for the Commissioners Court to come up with ideas of property that could work and that he would then vet those properties for any viable options.
