Presentation by legal counsel of Draft Illustrative Plan, redistricting the County Commissioner Precincts based on recently issued 2020 Census Data. 3. Discussion by the Commissioners Court of a redistricting plan for future adoption. Executive Sessions 4. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code §551.071 to consult with attorney about pending or contemplated litigation and/or a settlement offer. 5.. Consider and possible action on Executive Session. 6. Vol. -3H E'g. /�2� Z 0 MINUTES OCTOBER 18, 2021 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WORKSHOP SESSION Call to Order The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 with the following members of the Court present: Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding; Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Russ Ford, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. 2. Presentation by legal counsel of Draft Illustrative Plan, redistricting the County Commissioner Precincts based on recently issued 2020 Census Data. Syd Falk with Bickerstaff, Heath, Delgado, Acosta LLP. began the redrawing session by taking a look at the existing precinct numbers given by the 2020 Census. He then presented Plan A of the new potential precinct lines. The Court began discussion and the process of redrawing the lines. By the end of this first session, the Court was in agreement that they had reached a sufficient point for the day and are interested in hearing feedback from the public. 3. Discussion by the Commissioners Court of a redistricting plan for future adoption. Executive Sessions 4. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Govemmenf Code §551.071 to voi� 9� consult with attorney about pending or contemplated litigation and/or a settlement offer. The Court determined there was no need to convene into Executive Session. 5. Consider and possible action on Executive Session. No action was taken. 6.
