To make arrangements, please call (979) 361-4102. z 0 MINUTES DECEMBER 18, 2020 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT SPECIAL CALLED SESSION Call to Order A Special Called Session of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in room 106 in the Brazos County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 with the following members of the Court present: Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding; Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Russ Ford, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. 2. Approval of a wire transfer in the amount of $1,712,260.41 for the purchase of Lot One (1), Block Eleven (11), Barron Crossing, City of College Station, Brazos County for the future Brazos County Justice of Peace/Constable, Precinct 1 site. Commissioner Aldrich offered a motion to approve a wire transfer in the amount of $1,712,260.41. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cauley and passed unanimously. Ed Bull, Chief of Staff gave an update to the Court on items of interest. Mr. Bull informed the Court of the continuing negotiations between CHI and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBS). He reached out to Joe Braley, Divisional Vice President of BCBS of Texas in an effort to gain more information for county employees. Mr. Bull said Vol. - 3al-- Pg. since CHI St. Joseph Hospital will no longer be in our network, Baylor Scott and White has been contacted regarding in -network providers. He added that the HealthPoint Clinics will continue to be in our network. Mr. Bull is in contact with USI to find out what the options will be. He encouraged employees with scheduled appointments to contact BCBS and their doctor, especially employees receiving ongoing care. Mr. Bull then spoke about the Coronavirus vaccine. He said discussions regarding the vaccine are changing daily. Mr. Bull said the Employee Health Clinic has requested the vaccine for employees but has not received it yet. There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned. Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Steve Aldrich, Seconded by Commissioner Irma Cauley. Passed. 5-0. Ayes: Aldrich, Berry, Cauley, Ford, Peters. 3.
