BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET INA SPECIAL
CALLED SESSION AS FOLLOWS:
MEETING DATE: August 21, 2020
MEETING TIME: 2:30 PM
MEETING PLACE: BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT, 200

1. Call to Order
2. Establish the date and time for a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year
2020-2021.
3. Consider Brazos County 2020 Proposed Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021.
4. Establish the date and time for Public Hearing for a Tax Revenue Increase.
5. Adjourn
The County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, Suite 332, Bryan, Texas is wheelchair accessible.

BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
SPECIAL CALLED SESSION
Call to Order
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the
Brazos County Commissioners Courtroom in the Administration Building, 200 South
Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August
21, 2020 with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Chuck Konderla, Commissioner of Precinct 2, by Telephone;
Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in
attendance.
2. Establish the date and time for a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year
2020-2021.
The Court voted unanimously to establish the date and time for a public hearing on the
proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021 for September 2, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the
Commissioners' Courtroom.
Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Nancy Berry, Seconded by Commissioner
Irma Cauley. Passed. 5-0. Ayes: Aldrich, Berry, Cauley, Konderla, Peters.
3. Consider Brazos County 2020 Proposed Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2020 - 2021.
The Court voted to approve the proposed tax rate of $0.4950/$100 for the 2020 tax
year.
Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Nancy Berry, Seconded by Commissioner
Irma Cauley. Passed. 4-1. Ayes: Berry, Cauley, Konderla, Peters. Nays: Aldrich.
4. Establish the date and time for Public Hearing for a Tax Revenue Increase.
The Court voted unanimously to establish the date and time for a public hearing on the
tax rate for September 2, 2020 at 1:45 p.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom.
Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Irma Cauley, Seconded by Commissioner
Nancy Berry. Passed. 5-0. Ayes: Aldrich, Berry, Cauley, Kondeda, Peters.
5. Adjourn
The foregoing minutes of the Commissioners Court Special Meeting held August t 21,
2020, have been examined and are approved in open Court this the 1st day of
September, 2020, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.
