THE BRAZOS COUNTY JUDGE/COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL
CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2019
AT 2 P.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE
COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS
AVENUE, SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS
The County Judge will hear comments on the Application for the Wicked Woods for a
Mass Gathering Permit. The event named in this permit application is scheduled to take
place on October 23-26, 2019 and October 29-31, 2019 at 10436 N. Dowling Road,
College Station, TX 77845. The purpose of the event is strictly a philanthropy event with
the main focus of raising fund/donations for three charities.
The Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, Suite 106, Bryan, TX
is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be

BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary on the application for the Wicked
Woods for a Mass Gathering Permit. The event named in this permit application is
scheduled to take place on October 23 through 26, 2019 and October 29 through 31,
2019 at 10436 N. Dowling Road, College Station, Texas 77845. The purpose of the
event is strictly a philanthropy event with the main focus of raising funds/donations for
three charities.
The County Judge called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. and stated that the permit
application looks to be in order. Judge Peters asked the applicant to share information
about the event.
Ethan Gleberman with the Wicked Woods Team for the Kappa Sigma Fraternity stated
that the Wicked Woods event began in 1995 and is now in a new location. Mr.
Gleberman described the event as a haunted trail. He said they have cleared pathways,
have a safety plan and traffic plan in place. Mr. Gleberman stated the proceeds from the
event will go to three different charities.

Constable Lampo asked if they have reported the expected number of attendees to
Texas A&M University and if law enforcement officers will be present. He also asked
about traffic and parking.
Mr. Gleberman stated they will have 3 officers and paramedics on site. He explained
that there will only be parking in front of the property. Mr. Gleberman said buses will be
used to bring people to the location or people can be dropped off.
Judge Peters noted that the Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator, County Fire
Marshall, Brazos County Sheriff and the Health Department have approved the plan and
he will grant the permit.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.

MASS GATHERING PERMIT
On October 1, 2019, a hearing was held to consider the mass gathering permit application of
Ethan Glebermen with the Wicked Woods Team and Zach Monsour with the Kappa Sigma
Fraternity for the Wicked Woods to be held on October 23-26, 2019 and October 29-31, 2019 in
Brazos County. The hearing was held at my direction and in accordance with Texas Health and
Safety Code Chapter 751.
After considering the application, reports submitted by the Deputy Emergency Management
Coordinator as County Fire Marshal designee, Sheriff, and Health Department, and testimony
heard during the hearing, it is my decision that the Mass Gathering Permit be hereby ISSUED.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the County Judge of Brazos County that the Mass Gathering
Permit Application is granted.
GRANTED this 1st day of October, 2019.
