SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
AND AGENDA
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Commissioners Court will meet in a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday
4 November 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Brazos
County Courthouse, 300 East 26th Street, Suite 115, Bryan,Texas.
1. Consider and take action to ratify the execution of the Renewal Agreement with Mutual of
Omaha
2. Consider and possible action on Agreement to renew the contract with Mutual of Omaha for •
stop loss coverage for the County's health insurance
3. Consider and possible action on Addendum to excess loss indemnity'application with MG
Life Insurance.
The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign

SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 4, 2003
A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
Brazos County, Texas was held in the Brazos County
Commissioners Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County,Texas, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
November 4, 2003 with the following members of the Court
present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr. , Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the
citizens and officials that were in attendance.
The first matter before the Court was to ratify the
execution of the Renewal agreement with Mutual of Omaha.
This is a two (2) month contract (November and December)
that will cease when the County enters into contract with
Blue Cross Blue Shield. The County Judge signed the
agreement on Friday, October 31, 2003. Had he not,
coverage would have ceased at midnight of that day. On
motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner

Mallard, the Court voted unanimously to ratify the
execution of the Renewal Contract. A .copy is attached.
The next matter before the Court was action on the
Agreement to renew the contract with Mutual of Omaha for
Stop Loss coverage for the County's health insurance. On
motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner
Jones, the Court voted unanimously to reject the contract
- for Stop Loss Coverage.
The Court next considered an Addendum to Excess Loss
Indemnity application with AIG Life Insurance. On motion
by Commissioner Peters, seconded by Commissioner Mallard,
the Court voted unanimously to approve the Addendum. A
copy is attached.
There being no further business to come before the
Court, the meeting was adjourned.
