BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A
PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2019 AT 1:45 P.M. IN
THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE, SUITE
106, BRYAN, TEXAS
The court will hear comments on the Proposed Tax Increase for 2019.
Interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or
against the tax increase for 2019.
The BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available.
Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two vwrking days before the meeting. To make

BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, at 1:45 p.m. on
Tuesday, August 27, 2019, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Participated by phone;
Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary on the proposed tax increase for the
2019 tax year.
The County Judge called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. and announced the following:
Maintenance and Operations: $0.4475
Debt Service: $0.0500
Total Rate: $0.4975
He then announced the second Public Hearing on the proposed tax increase will be held
on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Brazos County Commissioners'
Courtroom. Judge Peters also announced that the adoption of the budget and tax rate
will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. during the regular
Commissioners' Court meeting.
The County Judge asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the proposed tax rate.

With no one present to offer commentary for or against the proposed tax increase the
meeting was adjourned.
The foregoing minutes of the Commissioners Court Public Hearing held August 27, 2019
have been examined and are approved in open Court this 10th day of September 2019,
in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.
