BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A
PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, AUGUST.27, 2019 AT 1:30 RM. IN
THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE,
SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS
The court will hear comments on the proposed budget for the fiscal year ending
September 30, 2020. all interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and present
their cause, if any, for or against the proposed budget.
The proposed budget is filed with the County Clerk and will remain on file in the office of
the County Clerk in accordance with existing state statues. All interested parties are
urged to acquaint themselves with said budget during the time it remains on file with the
County Clerk. For your convenience, the proposed budget has been placed on the
county website at: hftp://www.brazoscountyb(.gov/Docu M*entCenterN!ew/2874
The BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. -
Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two working days before the meeting. To make

BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, at 1:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, August 27, 2019, with the following members of the Court present:
= Duane Peters; -County Judge; Presiding; .
Steve Aldrich; Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Participated by phone;
Nancy Beny, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The -purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary on the proposed budget for fiscal
- year ending September 30, 2020.
Judge Peters invited others to speak. There was no one present to offer commentary
for or against the proposed budget.
Judge Peters stated he would hold the hearing open until 1:45 p.m. in case someone
arrived late and wished to speak.
Charles Coats with BCS Habitat for Humanity said he had a problem locating the budget
on the website. He said that all he could find was a_ power point presentation of the
budget.
Commissioner Aldrich explained there are two links on the website. One for the power
point presentation and one for the actual budget.

Budget Officer Irene Jett explained that you cannot access it on a mobile phone.
Terry Dougherty with Big Brothers Big Sisters stated she would like to thank the Court
for their support.
Next to speak was Roy Flores. Mr. Flores also thanked the Court for their hard work on
the budget. He said he sat in on a couple of the meetings and knows they had a lot of
hard decisions to make.
Judge Peters closed the hearing at 1:45 p.m. since no one else present wished to
speak.
