IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS AVE., SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONSIDER A PLAN FOR THE DISTRICT CLERK ARCHIVAL FUND AND HEAR COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED PLAN. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND SAID HEARING AND PRESENT THEIR CAUSE, IF ANY, FOR ORAGAINST THE PROPOSED PLAN. The Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Ave., Suite 106, Bryan, Texas is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. To make arrangements, please call (979) 361-4102. va. 7 �' Pg.`= MINUTES AUGUST 14, 2018 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT PUBLIC HEARING The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, at 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday August 14, 2018, with the following members of the Court present: Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding; Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a plan for the District Clerk Archival Fund and hear comments on the proposed plan. The County Judge called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. and invited District Clerk Marc Hamlin to speak. Mr. Hamlin stated that due to State Law his office does not collect as many fees as the County Clerk. He said they are continually saving money to preserve records. Mr. Hamlin stated that for the 2018/2019 Budget there should be $100,000.00 in the fund even though that is not a lot of money for archival preservation. He explained that his records are electronically stored several different ways. Mr. Hamlin said that if the plan is approved they will continue to collect money to restore important historical documents. Commissioner Berry asked if records are digitized dating back to 2000. Mr. Hamlin explained how technology has changed over the years and said that 90% of Vol. Pg. -3 the records are stored electronically. There being no citizens present to offer commentary for or against the proposed plan, the County Judge adjourned the meeting. Vol. _ Pg.
