Gessner Engineering's Proposal for Professional Services -Civil Engineering for Rock Prairie Road West Reconstruction (beginning at College Station City Limits and ending at Holleman Drive intersection); cost for services is $122,200. Site is located in vol. a__7_ P9 y as Mental Health Awareness Month in Brazos County. The County Judge then presented the proclamation to Julie Overstreet with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Brazos Valley and Dr. Carly McCord with Telehealth Counseling Clinic. Mrs. Overstreet is the NAMI Brazos Valley Outreach Director and she passed out information to the Court and spoke about the many services NAMI provides to the seven (7) counties of the Brazos Valley. Mrs. Overstreet said that a recent report indicates that Mental Health resources in the Brazos Valley are extremely low and they would like to educate more citizens on recognizing and supporting those with Mental Health issues. Judge Peters said he appreciates the good work that NAMI preforms for the Brazos Valley. Commissioner Cauley asked how NAMI collaborates With MHMR and the Brazos County Crisis Intervention Team. Mrs. Overstreet said that they collaborate very closely with MHMR and offers training to the Crisis Intervention Team. Dr. Carly McCord asked to speak next to the Court. Dr. McCord is the Director of Clinical Services and a licensed Psychologist for the Telehealth Counseling Clinic on the Texas A&M University campus. Dr. McCord described the type of services provided to the citizens in five (5) of the seven (7) counties in the Brazos Valley for free. Dr. McCord stated that they have provided services to over 800 clients and she hopes to offer services soon in all seven (7) counties. She also stated that she would like to build up financial support in the communities. The Court thanked Dr. McCord and Mrs. Overstreet for their dedication and service to the citizens with Mental Illness in the Brazos Valley. A copy of the proclamation is attached. At this point, the County Judge announced the Court would consider items 19 through 21 then return to convene into Executive Session. Having considered the previously noted agenda items, at 10:31 a.m. the County Judge stated that the Court would convene into Executive Session to deliberate pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.074 as stated above. The following individuals were asked to stay for the meeting: Candy Gallego, Executive Assistant Jennifer Salazar, Human Resources Director Carl Kolbe, Expo Complex Assistant General Manager 18. Consider and possible action on Executive Session, At 11:08 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting open to the public and announced that no action would be taken on the Closed Executive Session. 19. Sheriff's report on inmate population. Sheriff Chris Kirk stated there were 620 inmates in jail, 521 inmates are male and 99 are female, 43 have electronic monitors and 13 are pending for monitors. 20. Announcement of interest items and possible future agenda topics. Commissioner Berry announced that the opening and ribbon cutting of the Mesa Verde extension is tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. She thanked Gary Arnold and Prarthana Banerji for all their work on this project. Gessner Engineering, LLC reserves the right to internally reallocate fee amounts to the various project phases, as necessary, based on the necessary time to complete the work. The number of site visits and inspections noted is a maximum number. Phase billing Is dependent on the completion of that phase and shall not be contingent on meeting the maximum number of inspections. If the project is abandoned prior to completion of the design, the tee shall be due the date the project is abandoned and shall be based upon the percentage of services performed.
