Vol. 264 Pg. 6 1 MINUTES NOVEMBER 20, 2017 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT SPECIAL CALLED SESSION 1. Call to Order A Special Called Session of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in room 332 in the Brazos County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 with the following members of the Court present: Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding; Steve Aldrich, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Nancy Berry, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. 2. Official Canvass of the results of the Special Election held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. The Court proceeded to canvass the results of the General Election held on November 7, 2017. The County Judge read aloud the vote count for each as follows: Proposition 1 In favor -7,648 Against - 956 Total - 8,604 Proposition 2 Vol. 264 Pg. 6 Cf In favor - 5,869 Against - 2,445 Total - 8,314 Proposition 3 In favor - 7,264 Against - 1,212 Total - 8,476 Proposition 4 In favor - 5,828 Against - 2,439 Total - 8,267 Proposition 5 In favor - 5,243 Against - 2,793 Total - 8,036 Proposition 6 In favor - 7,429 Against -1,122 Total - 8,551 Proposition 7 In favor -4,957 Against - 3,249 Total - 8,206 Total number of voters - 9,096 of 104,378 On motion by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to accept as true the county -wide totals as tabulated by the County's automated tabulating equipment and ordered the results to be certified to the Secretary of State and recorded in the Official Election Records of Brazos County. A copy of the election results as tabulated is attached hereto. Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Nancy Berry, Seconded by Commissioner Irma Cauley. Passed. 4-0. Ayes: Berry, Catalena, Cauley, Peters. Absent: Aldrich. 3.
