CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY,
SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 AT 2:00 P.M. IN THE
COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS
AVENUE, SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, September 1, 2015, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent,
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary on the proposed tax increase for fiscal year
ending September 30, 2016.
The County Judge called the meeting to order and asked Tax Assessor/Collector, Kristy Roe if
she had anything to share.
Mrs. Roe expressed her concern regarding the relocation of the tax office. She said there may
be several petitions for waiver of a refund of penalties and interest. She stated that this is a

qualified reason for the Commissioners Court to approve their request for up to one year after
the relocation of the tax office. Mrs. Roe stated that mail service has been slow regardless if it
was addressed to the new address or old address. She said that because of the relocation,
this could be approved if the citizen mailed their payment to the old location within a year of
the address change.
Judge Peters announced that the vote on the tax rate will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015
at 10:00 a.m.
There was no one else present wishing to speak.
The meeting was adjourned.
