BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2014 AT 10:30 A.M. IN THE
COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING, 200 S. TEXAS AVENUE, SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS.
The Brazos County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing to consider the following:
e Application of Sylvia Sanchez to replat Lots 5 &6, Sheiga Heights and the Adjoining 5.144
acres, William King Survey, A -149 and A. McLaughlin Survey, A -157, Brazos County, Texas.
The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration
Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, Suite 106, Bryan, Texas located at the intersection of South Texas
Avenue and 28th Street.
Interested Parties are invited to speak for or against approval of the application. For additional
information, please contact the Road & Bridge Department at (979) 822 -2127.
The Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration Building, 200 S. Texas Ave., Suite 106, Bryan, Texas is wheelchair accessible.

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on
Tuesday, September 2, 2014, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary for or against an application
submitted by Sylvia Sanchez to replat Lots 5 & 6, Sheiga Heights and the adjoining
5.144 acres.
The County Judge called the meeting to order and asked Allan Munger, County
Engineer to give his presentation first.
Randy Norwood - spoke on behalf of the owner explaining the request to replat. The
owner is splitting the property to give a portion to a family member for legal reasons.

Jimmy Dunn, resident of Sheiga Heights since 1977 said he felt the deed restrictions
needed to be adhered to and one is no trailer homes. It appears a trailer will be brought
in to the subdivision with this request and it will need to go. Plus there are several junk
cars that would be a violation on Lot 5. He said he was not for or against it either way.
There was a long discussion on the deed restrictions if lots are brought into the
subdivision. Several subdivision residents spoke informally on the issue.
The owners said it was probably in their best interest to withdraw the request.

2014, have been examined and are approved in open Court this the day of
2014, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.
