BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING ON TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2014 AT 2:30 P.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS
COURTROOM OF THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 S. TEXAS AVENUE,
SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS.
The Brazos County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing to consider the following:
. Application for the operation of a junkyard by Saldana Auto Service located at 3023 Luza Ln.,
Bryan, TX 77807
The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the first floor of the
Administration Building, 200 S. Texas Avenue, Suite 106 located at the intersection of South Texas
Avenue and 28th Street.
Interested parties are invited to speak for or against approval of the application and conditions to be
imposed on the location. For additional information please contact the Road and Bridge Department at
(979) 822 -2127.
The Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration Building, 200 S. Texas Avenue, Suite 106, Bryan, Texas Is wheelchair accessible.

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, June 17, 2014, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann , Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, , Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen , County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.

The purpose of the hearing is to consider an application for the operation of a junkyard
by Saldana Auto Service located at 3023 Luza Lane, Bryan, Texas 77807.
The County Judge called the meeting to order and turned the floor over to Bill Ballard,
Civil Counsel who set the ground rules and outlined the procedure for the application.
Alan Munger clarified the rules using a power point presentation which showed that
there are nine (9) residents and five (5) lakes in the vicinity of the yard.

Deputy James Hall received no response to his inquiries from TCEQ. Deputy Hall said
he needed proof of ownership of property.
The County Judge opened the floor to public comment.
Dudley Smith presented a written statement and photos and asked the Court to deny the
application.
Linda Luza Schoeneman asked the Court to deny the application
Angelica Smith presented a written statement and asked the Court to deny the
application. She also asked the Court to enforce the violations and employ more
deputies to enforce the regulations.
James Massey with TAMU asked the Court to deny the application.
Donnie Barone indicated the application would be withdrawn and asked for time to move
the vehicles and clean up the property.
