1. Call to order.
2. Seminar by FEMA regarding next phase of the implementation of the Biggert•Waters NFIP
Reform (BW12), Region 6 to highlight the October 2013 changes, the next steps for local
officials, the effects of these changes on property owners, and where to find more
information.
3. Discussions regarding FEMA's October 2013 changes in the NFIP Reform and how they will
affect Brazos County.
4. Adjourn.

A Workshop meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was
held in the Brazos County Commissioners Courtroom in the Administration
Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at
10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 with the following members of the Court
present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in
attendance.
The County Judge called the meeting to order. The members of the Court along
with those present at the Workshop participated in a webinar on the Biggert-
Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act.

After the webinar there was a discussion on the flood insurance reform act with members
of the Road & Bridge staff fielding questions from the Court.
