BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2013 AT 2:00 P.M. IN THE
COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE, SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS
THE COURT WILL HEAR COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED TAX INCREASE FOR 2013.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND SAID HEARING AND PRESENT
THEIR CAUSE, IF ANY, FOR OR AGAINST THE TAX INCREASE FOR 2013.

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing at the Brazos County
Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 27, 2013, with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
LloydWassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
KarenMcQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary on the proposed tax increase for 2013
The County Judge called the meeting to order and read that the proposed tax rate was .4875
per $100 valuation. He then announced the vote on the tax rate would be on September 10,
2013.
There were no citizens present wishing to speak but the County Judge held the meeting
open for fifteen (15) minutes giving any citizens arriving late an opportunity to speak.
There being no comments from the public, the public hearing was closed at 2:16 p.m
