A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held
in the Brazos County Commissioners Courtroom in the Administration Building,
200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
on Friday, April 26, 2013 with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in
attendance.
Resolution authorizing the County to favorably consider a Tax Abatement Agreement for

The court adopted Resolution 13 -008 agreeing to consider the mutual benefits which will
inure to all parties and to favorably consider the tax abatement agreement. A copy of the

Motion: Approve, Moved by Commissioner Kenny Mallard, Seconded by Commissioner
Irma Cauley. Passed. 5 -0. Members voting Aye: Catalena , Cauley, , Mallard , Peters,
Wassermann.

RESOLUTION
AGREEING TO ENTER AN AGREEMENT
FOR DEVELOPMENT AND TAX ABATEMENT IN REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER TWO
(2) FOR COMMERCIAL — INDUSTRIAL TAX ABATEMENT,
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS Kuadrum Pipe and Tupe, Inc., a Delaware Corporation produces and sells steel tubes
and related products and services, bare, galvanized and pre- primered products to the
construction, transportation, metal building, metal fabricating, agricultural and other
OEM metal - consuming markets in Mexico, the United States and Canada; and
WHEREAS Brazos County, Texas ( "County) desires to promote economic development and has
Partnered in the development of an industrial park, known as the "Texas Triangle
Park"; and
WHEREAS Kuadrum contemplates the development and operation of an approximately 160 acre
tract of land located in City of Bryan, Texas extraterritorial jurisdiction in Brazos
County, Texas; and
WHEREAS as an incentive to bring Kuadrum to the community, the County is willing to grant a tax
abatement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual benefits which will inure to all parties the County
agrees to favorably consider the tax abatement agreement which follows:
