SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS Brazos County, Texas shall conduct a public hearing to advise the public about the Texas Community Development Program and to obtain citizen views and comments regarding the County's proposed applications for economic development assistance funding through the Texas Capital Fund. This program is administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The public hearing shall include a discussion on the Texas Community Development ProgranvTexas Capital Fund, the development of housing and community development needs, the amount of funding available, all eligible activities, the use of past Texas Community Development Program contract funds, the estimated amount of funds proposed for activities that will meet the national objectives of benefits to tow and moderate income persons, and the plans of the locality to minimize the displacement of person and to assist persons actually displaced as a result of activities associated with Texas Community Development Program funds. Citizens are encouraged to attend the hearing and offer their views and comments. If you are unable to attend, please submit your written comments to Brazos County Judge, 200 South Texas Avenue, Suite 332, Bryan, TX. 77803 on or before the scheduled hearing date. Please call the County Judge at 361 -4102 if interpretation assistance is needed. Accessibility to the handicapped will be provided upon request. The application for Texas Capital Fund assistance will be made available for public review at the Brazos County Administration Building during normal business hours. Vol. 17k Pg. The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. The County Judge opened the meeting and explained that the Public Hearing was to inform the public about the Texas Community Development Program and to obtain citizen views and comments regarding the County's proposed applications for economic development assistance funding through the Texas Capital Fund administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. He then introduced Martha Drake, consultant with Grant Works who gave an overview of the grant program and previous grants awarded to the county. Theresa Magnapora, Director to the Food Bank asked questions about the use of a grant to assist with the expansion of the Food Bank building. There were no further comments or questions from the public. The hearing closed at 6:23 p.m. E. Brazos County Bryan, TX RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Brazos County Commissioners Court finds it in the best interest of the citizens of Brazos County that the Brazos County Drug Court be operated for the 2014 Fiscal Year, September 1, 2013 — August 31, 2014; and WHEREAS, the Brazos County Commissioners Court agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds, the Brazos County Commissioners Court assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full; and WHEREAS, the Brazos County Commissioners Court designates the Director of the Brazos County Community Supervision and Corrections Department as the authorized official for this grant. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
