The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a meeting in the Commissioners
Courtroom at the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, with the following members of the
Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
LloydWassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
KarenMcQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.

Presentation of the Proclamation for the Brazos Valley Fair & Expo by the County Judge,
City of Bryan Mayor, and City of College Station Mayor.
The County Judge welcomed everyone and introduced the Mayor of College Station, the
Brazos County Commissioners, Dustin Coufal the new County Extension Agent, Travis
Boeker, Fair Director and Karl Hengst, Assistant Fair Director. The County Judge
thanked them along with Tom Quarles and the EXPO Staff for organizing the fair. He
then introduced Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz who gave an overview on the creation of the fair.
Dr. Mazurkiewicz mentioned that this was the first regional fair created in the last 36
years.
Mayor Nancy Berry of College Station, Bryan Mayor Pro Tem, Ann Horton and Judge
Peters read together a joint Proclamation proclaiming September 3 -9, 2012 as Brazos
Valley Fair Week.
Mr. Hengst then presented badges to the Commissioners and Mayors for admittance into
the fair.
