The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session
in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in
Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18,
2012 with the following members of the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
KarenMcQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.

The Commissioner's Court met to hear a presentation by Dr. Stuart J. Yoffe regarding
ways of saving money at the Brazos County Jail. Dr. Yoffe outlined things the Brazos
County Jail is doing well and then addressed the deficiencies, providing
recommendations for improvement. Recommendations were made in the following

2. Policies and Procedures
3. Education
4. Outside the Jail Medical Care
5. Medications
6. Payments /Expenditures
