The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the
Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos
County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 with the following members of
the Court present:
Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
KarenMcQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
Presentation by Plumhoff & Associates discussing Retiree Insurance Options.
Mark Grierson, representing Plumhoff Professional Insurance Advisors reviewed the current
coverage for retirees and associated costs. He told the Commissioners that the County is
required by law to offer an insurance plan to the retirees but is not required to pay the
premium. He offered other options for the retirees along with the costs associated with the
plans.
Mr. Grierson then updated the Court on the current medical and prescription plan. Notice of
this agenda item was posted as an addendum and filed with the County Clerk on June 2,
2011. The file marked addendum is added to these minutes.
