FR [ _ I i.[i 18 P 12 12 a l„ Jet C114 BRAZOS COUNTY BRYAN,TEXAS MINUTES March 1, 2011 BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WORKSHOP SESSION Minutes The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 with the following members of the Court present: Duane Peters, County Judge, Presiding; Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Sammy Catalena, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; KarenMcQueen, County Clerk, Absent. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. 1. Deployment and Integration of Surveillance Camera and Access Control Systems. OnSSI handout.pdf The Commissioner's Court met to discuss the deployment and integration of surveillance cameras and access control systems for the Courthouse and three other county buildings. Eric Caldwell, Director of the Information Technology Department explained the HIRSCH system that governs the buildings for security. This will be installed in the Courthouse during renovations. There will be 70 cameras to do surveillance and record any alarm, event or intrusion. The question he said, was "How do we best manage this ? ". With a centralized control? Additional training will be needed. The IT department along with Building Maintenance have not had sufficient training. Plus they will need Vol. l-g L1 Pg. a certification to install the systems. He then introduced Doug Smith with HIRSCH and Ellen Dollaker with OnSSI who each described their product and features. Mr. Smith discussed the Hirsch Electronic Velocity software while Ms. Dollaker discussed the OnSSI integration that can log on to multiple servers to access different cameras. Mr. Caldwell suggested bringing in an integrator to help them accomplish this. 2. Adjourn.
