WORKSHOP MEETING
Minutes
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the
Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos
County, Texas, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 with the following
members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
IrmaCauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
KarenMcQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance.
1. Briefing to discuss annexation procedures.
The Commissioner's Court met to be briefed on annexation procedures being used by
the City of College Station for the proposed annexation of Wellborn.
The following individuals spoke:
Bill Ballard - Spoke on the role of the County in the process. He indicated that the
County has no official role in the process.
Lance Simms - City of College Station explained the "exempt" process being followed by
the City of College Station.

Commissioners Lloyd Wassermann, Irma Cauley and Duane Peters asked questions
pertaining to emergency services, steps in the process and when residents of the
annexed area could expect city services.
