Chief Deputy Mike Wilson There were 535 inmates in jail, 43 have electronic monitors and 49 are pending for monitors. 19. Agency/ Board/ Committee reports by Court members. Commissioner Mallard Met with the Brazos County Health District and passed out goodie bags to the members of the Court. The bags included a promotional DVD. Julie Anderson, Community Health Services Director gave a presentation on vaccinations at the meeting. Commissioner Cauley Reported on the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Committee saying that today was Pearl Harbor remembrance day. She went on to say that she appreciates the service of the members of the armed forces. 20. Adjourn. Dear Pat, Patterson Architects would like to present this revision to our original proposal dated 13 January 2009 for Basic Architectural and Engineering Services for the changes in scope for the Renovations as noted below to the Brazos County Courthouse located in Bryan, Texas. PHASE III: A. Multi-Floor Work 1. Existing Security Elevator. Upgrade to current standards. 2. New Security Elevator at East side. Build new elevator shaft enclosure from basement to 4 floor with stops at basement, 2' and 4' floors. Exterior will be glass curtain wall. 3. Rework exhaust air from each floor. 4. Add communication system from all cells to Control Room. 13. Outside 1. Demolish existing chiller unit and abate hazardous materials. 2. Install new emergency generator to power exit lights and certain controls in security areas. D. Basement 1. Upgrade existing security elevator machine room. 2. Create security corridor from existing security elevator to new security elevator. 3. Install generator switchgear. 4. Rework basement fume exhaust system. 5. Rework basement ventilation. 6. Remodel existing detention area to serve as holding cells. Repair cells. - 2. Demolish original building frame. 3. Rework all steel ceilings. 4. Secure perimeter above ceilings to floor above. 5. Modify existing cells and add 6 new cells for a total holding capacity of 56 inmates. 6. Demolish wall and rebuild at Sally Port to accommodate small inmate transfer bus. Replace overhead door. 7. Rework air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems. 8. Remodel two offices for security officers. 9. New security elevator does not stop at this floor. E. Second Floor 1. At West side, adjacent existing security elevator, repair two holding cells and two attorney interview rooms. 2. At EasTside, adjacent new security elevator and shaft, relocate air handler to existing storage room to the North and add 3 holding cells for 5 inmates. F. Third Floor • 1. At West side near existing security elevator, repair one existing holding cell plus two other cells adjacent to courtrooms. 2. At existing mechanical room adjacent existing security elevator, relocate air handler and other mechanical equipment and construct new holding cells for 6 inmates. Add attorney interview rooms if spaces permits. • 3. At East side near new security elevator relocate air handler from adjacent mechanical room and convert area to a workroom with through -traffic from North to South. New security elevator does not stop at this floor. At unused area of new elevator shaft, provide a storage room accessible from third floor. G. Fourth Floor 1. At West side existing elevator update /repair 5 existing holding cells and remove all showers. Rework all plumbing to insure no leaks to floors below. 2. At East side new elevator, add two new holding cells for 2 inmates each (4 inmates total) plus two attorney interview rooms. H. Roof 1. Install new roof over new elevator shaft. 2. Rework exhaust ducts beneath chiller.
