Follow -up discussion regarding the Pharmacy Benefit Manager audit, and recommendations for how the County should proceed in this area. Patrick Carr was present via telephone. There was a long discussion over bids, differences, and costs ending with a recommendation of the Humana bid. The consultant from Plumhoff and Associates stated that they would place the Express Scripts proposal last based on past experience with the company. Tina Snelling, Civil Counsel asked Mr. Carr if he would be available for comments on Caremark tomorrow during the Commissioners Court meeting. Caremark suggested they could match the best bid. Mr. Carr noted that it is very frustration for companies Vol. Pg. that work hard to make their best offer on time and someone swoops in and matches the lowest bid late and gets the business. The Commissioners and Mr. Carr discussed the exclusion list in the bids which are drugs that are no longer covered and if the County wanted to ask Humana to take another look at them and give us a price to include them. A decision will be made in the Commissioners Court meeting on November 9, 2010. 2.
