1. Call to order.
2. Presentation by representatives from the Texas County and District Retirement System
(TCDRS) regarding the state of public pensions, and various aspects of Brazos County's
TCDRS retirement plan.
The Commissioners Courtroom of the County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Ave., suite 106, Bryan, TX 77803 is wheelchair

WORKSHOP MEETING
Minutes
Call to Order.
A Workshop meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the
Commissioners Courtroom in the Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in
Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 with
the following members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Present, Absent;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Presiding
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and officials that were in
attendance.
1. Presentation by representatives from the Texas County and District Retirement System
(TCDRS) regarding the state of public pensions, and various aspects of Brazos County's
TCDRS retirement plan.
Amy Bishop representative of the Texas County and District Retirement System
(TCDRS)gave a presentation on the County's retirement program sighting a newly
released report saying that the cost savings of Defined Benefit Pension Plans outweight
a Defined Contribution plan. She also touched on various aspects of the County's plan.
Mr. Paul Williams also from TCDRS was available to answer questions.
