Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, George Boyett was at the meeting representing the Boy Scouts. Tina Snelling Civil Counsel, asked about insurance. Judge Boyett said it had been furnished in the notebook to the Commissioners Court along with the plan document. Ms. Snelling said that it looked like Texas World Speedway was the only one listed as a certificate holder. She suggested that Brazos County also be listed as a certificate holder. Bill Ballard, Civil Counsel noted this is not a statutory requirement but a request by Ms. Snelling. Judge Boyett said he will do this if it is a request by the Commissioners Court. Commissioner Cauley said that she agreed with Ms. Snelling. Ms. Snelling went on to state that this does not make the County and additional insured, it just shows due diligence. Judge Boyett said he will make the request. Commissioner Peters said the testimony will be reported to the County Judge to make a decision on the permit application. Because the Vol ) 31 Page -a- I Commissioners Court meeting September 29, 2010 3 County Judge is out of town, it may be delegated back to him to make the decision.
