To make arrangements, please call (979) 36111102 Office of the County Judge 200 South Texas Ave. • Suite 332 • Bryan, Texas 77803 • Fax: (979) 361 -4503 Vol. 135 pg. 23-7 COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING JULY 23, 2010 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in Commissioners Courtroom in the County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 with the following members of the Court present: Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding; Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. The County Judge called the meeting to order and then proceeded to consider a Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant Application. The focus of the grant is to construct a facility for the manufacture of vaccines in order to protect soldiers and civilians from pandemic infectious diseases such as H1N1 or "swine flu ". The program is known as Project Greenvax. On motion by Commissioner Mallard, seconded by Commissioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously to approve the grant application, authorized the County Judge to execute the document, to accept such funds as should be tendered and Vol i 35 Page a 3g Commissioners Court meeting July 23 2010 to forward the application to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission in Austin, Texas. There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned.
