Update from John McBeth with The District on plans for the proposed parking garage and alternate parking locations during construction. 3. Adjourn The County Administration Building is handicap accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two working days before the meeting. Office of the County Judge • 2t�u Texab A C • S uit • Bry n, Texas 77803 • Fax: (979) 361 -4503 COMMISSIONERS' COURT WORKSHOP SESSION DECEMBER 17, 2009 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2009 with the following members of the Court present: Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding; Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. John McBeth with The District gave an update on plans for the proposed parking garage and alternate parking locations during construction. The first and second floors of the parking garage are free for Brazos County employees. The 5th floor is for contract parking. The 3rd floor is paid parking for the public. That is a total of 906 spaces. The Adult Probation building will be built first and will be about a 7 month project to complete the office building. Vol l30 Page a Commissioners Court meeting December 17, 2009 2 Free parking will happen by validating as you exit. If not then you will have to pay. Representatives of Harvey Builders, Guy L. Cook and Chris Byer showed the phases of construction and estimated it would be a 14 month time frame for the construction of the garage. They then entertained questions. The fence for the construction will go up soon and discussed notifying everyone as soon as possible.
