BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
WORKSHOP SESSION
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF BRAZOS COUNTY WILL MEET IN A
WORKSHOP SESSION ON FRIDAY 4 DECEMBER 2009 AT 2:00 P.M. IN THE
COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING, 200 SOUTH TEXAS AVE., SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Call to Order.
2. Proposed agreement/contract with the Brazos Animal Shelter, Inc. for animal shelter
services; term of agreement is 10/01/2009 through 9/30/2010.
3. Adjourn.
The Brazos County' Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign

WORKSHOP SESSION
DECEMBER 4, 2009
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a
Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Brazos
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009 with the
following members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioner's Court met to discuss the proposed
agreement /contract with the Brazos Animal Shelter, Inc. for
animal shelter services. Commissioner Peters said his only
issue is that the contract needs to state they will hold the
animals at least 3 days.
Commissioner Mallard wanted to make sure they have proper
controls and /or procedures to handle both money and animals.
There have been problems in the past with employee theft.

Irene Jett, Budget Officer said we could ask them to
submit their procedures and controls.
Bill Ballard, Civil Attorney said he was inserting
language under #1 on the first page on holding the animals for
3 days.
