IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. Consider and take action on agenda items 1- 2: 1. Request number 2 for Authorization for Use of Contract Contingency funds to complete the County Court at Law No. 2 renovations. 2. Approve payment authorization to theU.S. Postal Service 3. Adjourn The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. VOL 0 PAGE COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2003 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2003 with the following members of the Court present: Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding, Absent; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. Commissioner Mallard called the meeting to order then announced the meeting would be moved to room 107-C because of the ALR hearings. The first matter before the Court was Request #2 for authorization to use Contract Contingency funds to complete the County Court at Law #2 renovations. On motion by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioners Peters, the Court voted unanimously to approve Request #2. The request is in the amount of $5,114.00. A copy VOL 'PAGE l0 Commissioners Court meeting October 9, 2003 2 is attached. The Court next considered a payment authorization to the U.S. Postal Service in the amount of $14,000.00. This is the estimated postage needed for the mass mailing of the 2003 Tax Statements. On motion by Commissioner Peters, seconded by Commissioner Jones, the Court voted unanimously to approve the payment authorization. There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned. This wall vinyl will cover this area. Annunciator A switch under the judge's desk was requested with conduit run for connection to an alarm box in the sheriff's office. Remove Telephones Two unused telephone boothettes are being removed from the main corridor wall and delivered to the Owner. The holes are to be patched and new wall vinyl per note above. RFP #8 Item #1 Soundproof Wall at Courtroom For soundproofing purposes, extend walls to third floor structure behind the judge's bench and around the jury room- Item #3 Soundproof Wall at Toilet For sound proofing purposes, extend walls to third floor structure between toilet and jury room. Item #4 Wall Vinyl Behind Tudyes Bench The wall directly behind the judge's bench is to be enhanced with wall vinyl in lieu of paint. Item #5 Sound Insul Above Ceilings 203.204.212. To further dampen sound at the toilets and fudges chamber, 6" sound insulation is to be added above the ceilings listed. Item #6 Add Laver Of Plywood at Tory Platform Chair manufacturer selected by Owner requires wood floor to have two layers of 3/4" plywood. This item adds one 3/4" layer to that already installed.
