AND AGENDA
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL CALLED SESSION ON
FRIDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2009 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS
COURTROOM OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 200 SOUTH
TEXAS AVENUE, SUITE 106, BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Call To Order.
2. Order 09-013 terminating the state of disaster as established by Proclamation 09-021 and
extended by Order 09-009.
3. Cancellation of the current bum ban, as established by Brazos County Order 09-008.
4. Adjourn.
The County Administration Building is handicap accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign

SPECIAL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 18, 2009
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in Commissioners Courtroom in the
County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in
Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on
Friday, September 18, 2009 with the following members of the
Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Irma Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Late;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and
officials that were in attendance.
The County Judge called the meeting to order and then
proceeded to consider Order 09-013 terminating the state of
disaster as established by Proclamation 09-021 and extended by
Order 09-009. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by
Commissioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously to terminate
Order 09-013 terminating the state of disaster.
The next matter before the Court was consideration of the
current burn ban as established by Brazos County Order 09-008.
On motion by Commissioner Wassermann, seconded by Commissioner

Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to cancel the current burn
ban.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

COMMISSIONERS COURT ORDER
TERMINATION OF DISASTER DECLARATION
WHEREAS, on 23 June 2009, the County Judge, pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Chapter 418,
(the "Texas Disaster Act'), issued a proclamation declaring a state of disaster for the County of Brazos
resulting from:
Threat of fast-moving wildfires due to lack of rainfall for an extended period of time, and the magnitude
of the potential damage and the rapidity at which such fires could escalate to major proportions.
WHEREAS, the conditions necessitating the proclamation of a local state of disaster have ceased to
exist; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Disaster Act provides that a local state of disaster may be terminated by the
governing body of the political subdivision or by executive order of the County Judge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE COMMISSIONERS COURT of Brazos County
that The Commissioners Court, as the governing body of Brazos County, hereby terminates the
proclamation of a local state of disaster described in thepreamble -above, effective immediately.
