COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 17, 2008
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in Commissioners Courtroom in the
County Administration Building in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2008 with the
following members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The names of the citizens and officials that were in
attendance are as follows:
Candy Gallego, Executive Assistant
Ruth McLeod, Administrative Assistant
Jamie Hines, Elections Coordinator
Irene Jett, Budget Officer
Debbie Lockledge, Administrative Assistant
The County Judge called the meeting to order and
then proceeded to canvas the results of the General
Election held Tuesday, November 4, 2008 to elect Federal,
State and County Officials. The County Judge read aloud
the races and vote count for each. The County Judge then
read aloud the vote of the Special Election for the

incorporation of the City of Reliance and city officials.
Then on motion by the County Judge, seconded by
Commissioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously to
accept as true the county-wide totals as tabulated by the
County's automated tabulating equipment and ordered the
results to be certified to the Secretary of State and
recorded in the official Election Records of Brazos
County. A copy of the election results as tabulated for
the General Election and the Special Election are
attached hereto.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

The foregoing minutes of the Commissioners Court meeting held
November 17, 2008 have been examined and are approved in open
