THE BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING ON TUESDAY 1 APRIL 2008 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS
COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 E. 26TH STREET,
SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS.
In accordance with Chapter 232.008(c) of the Local Government Code, the Commissioners
Court will hold a Public Hearing to consider the abandonment of a subdivision consisting of 40
acres of land, more or less, being situated in the town of Millican. The site is located in Precinct
1.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or
against the abandonment of a subdivision consisting of 40 acres of land, more or less, being
situated in the town of Millican located in Precinct 1.
The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
APRIL 1, 2008
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing at the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
April 1, 2008, with the following members of the Court
present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The County Judge called the meeting to order at 10:09
a.m. The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary for or
against the abandonment of a subdivision consisting of 40
acres of land, more or less, being situated in the town of
Millican. The site is located in Precinct 1. Gary Arnold
with the Road & Bridge Department explained the process. The
County Judge asked how many lots were involved whereupon Mr.
Arnold replied that there were 57 lots. Commissioner Peters
pointed out hat this subdivision would not meet current Brazos
County Subdivision and Development Regulations standards.

Commissioner Wassermann felt the Court needed to abandon the
subdivision since Millican is not incorporated, there were no
buildings or structures and there was only one owner. Gary
Arnold stated that all legal requirements have been fulfilled.
Tina Snelling, Court Counsel, has reviewed everything and all
that is needed now is to put this item on the agenda of the
next Commissioners Court meeting.
There were no citizens in attendance wishing to speak for
or against the abandonment of the subdivision.
There being no further comments, the County Judge
declared the Public hearing closed.
