NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON TAXATION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY IN TRANSIT
11 DECEMBER 2007
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC
HEARING ON TUESDAY 11 DECEMBER 2007 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE
COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST
26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS.
THE COURT WILL RECEIVE PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING THE ADOPTION OF AN
ORDER TO TAX TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY IN TRANSIT WHICH WOULD
OTHERWISE BE EXEMPT PURSUANT TO SEC. 11.253 OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE.
THIS ACTION RELATES TO WHETHER CERTAIN TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY
HELD TEMPORARILY AT A LOCATION IN THIS STATE FOR ASSEMBLING, STORING,
MANUFACTURING, PROCESSING OR FABRICATING PURPOSES (GOODS -IN-
TRANSIT) SHALL REMAIN SUBJECT TO TAXATION BY BRAZOS COUNTY.
The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign

PUBLIC HEARING
DECEMBER 11, 2007
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing at the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
December 11, 2007, with the following members of the Court
present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1,;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk, Absent.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear commentary for or
against the adoption of an order to tax tangible personal
property in transit which would otherwise be exempt pursuant
to Sec. 11.253 of the Texas Tax Code. This action relates to
whether certain tangible personal property held temporarily at
a location in this state for assembling, storing,
manufacturing, processing or fabricating purposes (goods in
transit) shall remain subject to taxation by Brazos County.
There were no citizens in attendance wishing to speak for
or against
this subject.

would be put on the agenda for the next Commissioners Court
meeting.
There being no further comment, the County Judge declared
the Public hearing closed.

The foregoing minutes of the Commissioners Court meeting held
December 11, 2007 have been examined and are approved in open
